Welcome to the new look SDS UK website. we are sorry it has taken so long to update but hopefully now our new look will reflect this happy dedicated support group.
I would like to say a huge thank you to all past sponsors of this site especially the wright family in Lincoln. in order to go forward we have decided to remove old literature and thank you's of more than 12 months old from the back page, in order to give us more web space and to move forward with the website. we will keep a record of all past sponsors and donations and will always be very grateful and hope you will still continue to support us.

Shwachman-Diamond Syndrome

Shwachman-Diamond Syndrome is an inherited condition that affects many organs in the body, including the bone marrow, the pancreas and the skeleton.

Children and adults with this condition suffer from infections, growth disturbances and complications of the blood system. A significant number of sufferers die from these infections, failure of the bone marrow or leukaemia.

Shwachman-Diamond Support (SDS) is a registered UK charity established to offer support and information to sufferers and their families. SDS is a 100% voluntary organisation and funding is solely dependent upon peoples generosity and the fundraising efforts of trustees and parents.
